Nestled in the mountains of Hendersonville, NC, we recently hosted an unforgettable women’s wellness retreat at The Horseshoe Farm. Set over four inspiring days, 14 women from across the Southeast gathered to immerse themselves in creative exploration, stillness, and holistic wellness.
After everyone got settled in, we gathered for a welcome/meet-and-greet followed by a candlelight sound bath held at the Sanctuary that was nothing short of incredible. Rachel, our sound healing practitioner, shared her beautiful gifts of sound therapy with an array of instruments and her voice. We closed our first night with a stunning sunset dinner at the Silo Cookhouse, which set the precedence for what was to come.
Creativity took center stage as we gathered for watercolor and clay workshops each day. These sessions provided a perfect setting for self-expression and artistic exploration, guided by our guest artist, Dana Kimmel, who nurtured both beginners and seasoned artists. The joy of creating and the bonds formed through these shared artistic experiences added a unique and inspiring dimension to the retreat.
Wellness activities were abundant and were curated to nourish the mind, body, and soul. Our first morning began with a restorative yoga and meditation session led by the talented Stephanie Terry, allowing us each to set a powerful intention for our time together.
Ample opportunity for leisure and self-care were also carefully woven into the retreat’s fabric. The resort pool, sauna, cold plunge circuit and trails offered daily time for rest and personal integration, while on-site, holistic spa treatments provided a luxurious escape.
Evenings were particularly magical, featuring additional time to connect with each other and a private chef dinner under the stars. Our Chef, Taylor Kirkbride, nourished our bodies and souls with her thoughtfully planned menu and nurturing spirt. On our final evening, a fire release ceremony allowed each of us to let go of everything that we no longer needed to carry, proving to be a deeply personal and transformative experience.
As the retreat drew to a close, it was clear that our time spent together had been so much more than just a getaway. It was a journey of creative exploration, personal growth, and profound connection. We left The Horseshoe Farm not only with beautiful memories and new friendships but with a renewed sense of self clarity that we could carry forward into our lives.
Belle Ame’s Creative Immersion Retreat was a testament to the power of coming together in a supportive and nurturing environment. It reminded us all of the importance of taking time for ourself, embracing our creative spirit, and fostering meaningful connections. The echoes of laughter, shared stories, personal transformation and moments of quiet reflection will stay with us, always. Until next time sweet friends...
In Gratitude, Brooke and Mackenzie.
Thank you to our incredibly talented photographer, Emily Ray (and our bonus addition Jordan), who captured the retreat so beautifully. We will cherish these memories forever.
